RECREATIONAL (the original – started 2019)
*FRIDAY NIGHTS 5:30-7pm at William Davie Park (Pineville-Matthews Rd), beginning March 10, 2023*
This is at the very core of the Maverick mentality as it fosters a community – we focus is 8-12yr old boys and girls in and around the Matthews area, and incorporates complete newbies as well as seasoned players. Very kid-centric and a ton of FUN! No commitments necessary – just show up on a Friday evening and play whenever the schedule allows.
Think of it as glorified ‘pick-up’ soccer to begin with. Kids will be in charge! We never know how many kids, or what ability range will be there…so it is completely up to them as to whether they just want a ball to practice with, or jump into a 3v3 game, or use a goal to play World Cup
